What languages does it support?
The verified language list will be published once we test the sample unit. English and French are the two we test every workflow against for Canada. If your language is not on the list, do not buy it for that language.
Do I need an app?
Yes — the free AIBuds app (iOS and Android). You set it up once at home before your trip. Our step-by-step Setup Guide with screenshots is linked in your order email.
How does the translation actually work?
You speak normally; the glasses’ microphones pick up the conversation and the app translates it. You hear the result through the open-ear speakers. There is a short processing pause — it is help, not magic.
How long does the battery last?
The glasses carry a 300mAh battery and the leather case tops them up on the go. Exact battery life per charge will be published after sample testing — mixed use (music, calls, occasional translation) lasts longer than continuous translation.
How fast is shipping to Canada?
Free tracked shipping. Orders ship in 1–3 business days and arrive in 6–15 business days — most land in 10–14. Your tracking number arrives by email the moment it ships.
Will I pay customs or duties?
Usually no. A small percentage of parcels (industry-wide, under 5%) get inspected, in which case the local post may charge a small customs service fee. We say this here because we would rather be upfront than surprise you at the door.
What if it does not work for me?
30-day returns from the day it arrives — no interrogation, no restocking tricks. Defective on arrival? We replace it. Email us; a human answers within 24 hours.
Is the camera always recording? What about privacy?
No. Recording is manual — a physical button and a visible action. Please follow local recording laws and basic courtesy wherever you are.
Is Lingua Vox waterproof?
IP65-rated — rain and dust resistant. Vancouver drizzle, a spilled coffee, walking in the rain — wipe and keep going. It is not swim-proof. Do not shower or swim with it.
